For the executive suite, administration, conference and sales areas, the art collection explored themes of the contemporary woman, style and design. A modest budget required effective placement of the artwork and the use of posters in conference rooms [C,D,E]. On a tour of the facility I discovered a bin of their advertisements ready to be disposed. I salvaged them, had them properly and consistently framed and designed a chronological memorabilia wall. It became a fascinating social history of women. [A] I identified several Andy Warhol drawings and saved them from coffee stains and deteriorating framing. They were reframed according to conservation standards and hung in the executive conference room. [B] |
